On the 31st October 2018, Lions Club of Tropical Gardens and other service clubs and entities with health programmes were invited to coffee and treats at the Government House.
Mrs. Elisabeth Roper, the Governor's wife, was a most welcoming hostess and expressed a genuine interest in the work of the groups. Lions Patricia Bazell-Taylor PMJF and Kareefa Mohammed-Jalim represented the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens at this event and remarked at how refreshing and encouraging it was, especially as it took place just three days after Mrs Roper’s arrival in the Cayman Islands. Lion Kareefa commented: “I was excited that she showed such an interest in our Club and seemed very interested in the service we offer to the community and how she could become more involved.”
